Palm Reading

For you super duper religious Muslims out there, you probably think palm reading is something Muslims aren't suppose to believe in and it's "syirik" and i think in English it's called Shirk (thanks wikipedia). As for me, i don't believe in it totally but it makes me wonder sometimes...

And the meaning of shirk according to an online source : Shirk (Arabic: شرك‎) or polytheism means to consider anyone god other than the true God, Allah. Shirk is also associating partners with him, giving his characteristics to others beside him, or not believing in his characteristics.

So all those black magic, or susuk (what some Malays practice) is shirk because they believe in "another so called divine power". I always look at "INTENTION" in order to determine whether what we do is against what the religion requires us to do.

Example, people say it's not okay to keep dolls in the house, especially those that look human-like or even to keep animal dolls. They say the malaikat (angel) won't enter the house while some say they are like keeping idols in the house. I remembered my mom pressuring my grandma to throw away her animal dolls (my grandma love animals and there are a lot of stuffed animals or decorations in the form of animals). I symphatized with my grandma. Luckily my mom isn't living with me so she can't order me to get rid of my dolls.

Logically, we keep such dolls not for the purpose of idolizing them, in the sense that these dolls give us power or protection. We keep it because it looks cute and pretty and it's part of house decoration. So keeping these dolls can't be equated with keeping them as idols. Hence, it's not wrong to keep these dolls. Unless you keep a large amount of cat dolls for the purpose of worshiping it or thinking it gives you protection then that will amount to shirk.

Palm reading is not shirk either. My idea of palm reading is the fact that each of us are born with different lines on our palm. God created us, and God created those lines. Perhaps in some way, he have provide or give us some clues to our destiny or something. In the end, my belief still goes back to God himself, not other divine powers. Like dreams too, sometimes i believe it's like a message from God, trying to tell you something or perhaps even warn you. Some say dreams are just your sub consciousness.

interpreting your palm is almost like interpreting ur dreams. is that wrong? There are no involvement of other powers, it's just using your brains to figure out your body.

Below is a test that i took on my palm reading based on the lines of my palm. Though some of the interpretations may make me sound like a selfish biatch, but there are some truth to it. Ha, and palm reading is similar to figuring out your personality via your style of writing too.



LOVE LIFE :

You are a very selfish lover. You live for yourself and care little for the people around you. When your partner commits a mistake, you can be very unforgiving. If you like someone, you stop at nothing to get that person in your life. But after winning your love, your devotion and attention level drops like a brick. You are emotional in love. You will have moments of ultimate happiness in your love life. You are likely to be cold and less passionate. You are calculating in all matters of love. Your head rules your heart.

MARRIAGE :

You will have a happy marriage. There will be lots of love between you and your life partner. You are unlikely to get involved in serious relationships (before marriage) in which you will contemplate marriage. You are not likely to get married early in life.

HEADLINE (MIDDLE LINE) :

You think independently. You have quick judgment and are mentally strong. Because of your fast thinking, you are brilliant in studies and whatever else you take up. Find your life goal and work towards it. Strong ambition will bring you success. You might face periods of illness in your life.

LIFE LINE :

You are likely to lead a happy and healthy life. You are likely to be very passionate and romantic in life. You are kind and caring towards those around you. You are ambitious but try not to become complacent in whatever you do and you will achieve much. You are more likely to have a lifetime of good health. You have strong will power. Your body will show more resistance in times of ill health. You are more brainy than brawny. You most likely had a happy childhood. You are likely to lead a comfortable life with less downs and more ups.
