What is WRONG with this picture?

1. OBVIOUSLY a 14 year old getting married. She's not even done with her studies. She's not even halfway done with her studies.

2. She's 14, and he' 23. 9 years age difference. it's not a problem if the girl was older, like 20 and he's 29 because it's ASSUMED that by then she already reached a mature mind. So it's ok if a 14 year old gets married if she's MENTALLY and PHYSICALLY MATURE? Not really. You can't really measure a person's maturity. But that's why you have juvenile and adult offenders because it's assumed that when you reached 18, you should be responsible for your actions. So regardless whether you are mature or not at 18, you will be tried as an adult. But if you are a 14 year old offender but a genius criminal offender, perhaps even mature beyond your age, you will still be tried as a juvenile offender because there's still an assumption that you haven't reach the age of majority and that you are just a young offender. So is it right for young teens to get married and asked to be treated like an adult, claiming they are mature but yet face the consequences of their bad decisions as a young teen and not as an adult? People will defend them and say "but he/she is just a childdddd"...

3. If you choose to get married, shouldn't you be INDEPENDENT? Have your own place, not depending on parents, etc. There don't know what is the hardship of a marriage as long as they are still staying with the parents. Besides, is it healthy if your parents are involved in your marriage? Interfering here and there?

4. Being a married woman means you need to look after your husband and his needs. What does a married woman do? Work, clean the house, cook for the husband, fulfill her husband's sexual desire. So her mother will do the house cleaning and cooking while she will be busy preparing for exams and night time be with her husband? Even SOME adult married woman who is working need the assistance of a maid to look after the house. And despite that, when they come back from work, they r too tired to entertain the husband. One of the factors why some marriages end up with divorces.

5. Parents always try to prevent their children from being in a relationship while they are still studying. Some parents are so carefree and so called open minded that they think it's cool if their 13 year old child has a bf/gf. Why won't parents allow their children to be in a relationship while studying? Well, relationship can be distracting to your studies. God knows, when you and your partner have a fight, for some young emo people, they think the world is going to end and thus can't concentrate on their studies. Marriage is a big responsibility.

6. With this current 14 old girl girl's case, people think they are an ideal couple because the guy seems to be "islamic" since he's tutoring religion to the girl's siblings. That is also the explanation on how they met. Yeah, he's so professional too. Tutor + flirting. You know, people always like to use RELIGION as a defence to something as controversial as this. they think, oh the girl and the guy are religiously well taught, marriage shouldn't be a problem. With the knowledge of religion, the relationship should be blessed. Did you hear of the story when the ustazah was caught having an affair and she claims she's unhappy with her husband? Mind you, that's an USTAZAH you are talking about.

7. Would there be a bigger uproar to this controversial marriage if the guy was perhaps 30, 40 or even 50 while the girl is still 14 years old? Why should there be any difference if you claim that the girl is a 14 year old mature girl? Maybe some people are so so with this marriage because the age difference isn't that great, just 9 years. But the main issue here is that most people are unhappy because the child is just a child. And who cares if she's not forced to get married? People will attack her parents anyway.

8. If every 14 year old claims they are mature enough to get married, why is there a need to rate movies as to whether its contents are suitable for underage viewers or not. I can be a 14 year old and i can claim i'm mature enough to watch a movie that contents sex and violence.

9. Yeah, i read somewhere that in Islam, there is no AGE LIMIT to getting married. This will be some of the defending arguments that will be used by Muslims who wants to get married below the age of majority. Use your common sense people, don't make the religion look bad.

10. The concept of pedophile will be made redundant if this kind of young marriage trend were to continue. What is a PEDOPHILE? Dictionary.com --> a person who is sexually attracted to children. A man can disguise his pedophile tendencies by disguising his relationship with a child as a MARRIAGE. You know, if it's OKAY for a 14 year old to get married, why not an 8, 9, 10 or 12 year old. Some girls already get their period even at the age of 5.

11. And what kind of a man let themselves have "FEELINGS" for children? Don't you have an age limit on what kind of people who you can flirt with?
