Undoing the Natural

http://my.entertainment.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/makeup-reddit-user-posts-startling-photo-212024218.html

Sometimes, you don't even know something is "wrong" until someone pointed it out to you and give you ideas that the "wrong" is unacceptable and must be changed.

I'm talking about female looks. When I was in high school, suddenly STRAIGHT HAIR is an It Thing. Many girls started to go to the salon and have their curly/wavy hair straighten out permanently until it regrows. It seems like you are only pretty if you have straight hair and friends will encourage you to straighten your hair. My hair was wavy and at one point of time I was guilty for committing the hair straightening trend but I didn't redo it when my hair start to grow back to its wavy ways. 2 reasons for this : back then it was expensive and I couldn't really care and I kindda missed my wavy hair.

I also see my friends being obsessed with plucking their eyebrows because according to them, if your eyebrows are shaped nicely, it will enhance your looks. Unless your eyebrows are really thick or thin or both your eyebrows connected to each other, I wouldn't really notice any problem with your eyebrows. I never plucked my eyebrows because I was never unhappy about how my eyebrows look until one incident happened to me which still didn't really change my opinion about my eyebrows.

I accompanied my ex stepmom to a salon because the bitch wanted to get her eyebrows plucked. Then one of the workers there asked me whether I wanna do mine and i said no. In an attempt to change my mind and get more money, the stupid bitch said my eyebrows look like a man and if I were to shape them nicely, I will look pretty. Fuck u. But I was young then, in my late teens so instead of being super angry, I was semi angry but more hurt and suddenly become self conscious of my looks no thanks to that stupid insensitive whore. But I'm proud to say that i never once plucked my eyebrows despite friends telling me I should give it a try. The reason why i never do it :

1. i don't like people telling me how i should look.
2. i have no time for eyebrows plucking.
3. I couldn't give a shit about it.
4. Waste of money. And even if i can do it on my own, i couldn't give a shit about it.
5. I dont have issues with my eyebrows and so what if others have?

What I'm trying to point out here by giving you example of my experiences is that society tells you what is pretty and what is not. Why should society dictate for you what's the ideal beauty? Below are what society dictates as pretty (in Malaysia) :

1. Fair skin.
2. Thin/Skinny/Slim.
3. Straight hair.
4. Big eyes.
5. Eyes with double eyelids.
6. And many more.

And so you have girls obsess with skin products to make their skin as white as a corpse and girls who wear thick eye makeup to make their eyes bigger. Now they have that ridiculous contact lense to make your pupil big and black. And that fake thing to make it look like you have double eyelids when in fact you don't.

Why do girls want to feel proud with their excessive makeup covering their facial flaws or plastic surgery to enhance their beauty when they are not natural and some temporary? Not only that, forcing others to such trend and if others don't join it, they will be taunt about how ugly they will look without the fake beauty enhancers.

Kindly do not force and pressure others into your idealistic beauty. And girls, please have more confidence in your self. No point aiming for perfection because nobody is perfect. Only God is perfect.

Ethics when using smartphones or whatever technologies

News have been reporting on how gadgets a.k.a smartphones and tablets are "destroying" the family institution.

1. Spouses having affairs when the other suspicious busy body spouse sneakily check the phone and found lovey dovy messages from a third party.

2. Children absorb with texting and surfing online with their gadgets over dining with family.

But besides family, i find it extremely irritating when friends do the same too. Every second wanna text/surf online. Thank God my close friends don't do that but i have encountered some during "dates". Made me want to shove the phone down throat and out of his ass. It's a MAJOR TURN OFF during dates. What could be the cause of this ?

1. The jackass must have think im not interesting, hence chose to busy himself with his damn phone.

2. The jackass doesn't know how to communicate with a woman, hence play with his phone while one of us figure out what to talk about.

So basically a person who likes to keep himself/herself occupied with the gadget while in the presence of other fellow human beings can only mean the following :

1. His/Her online friends are more interesting.
2. Real live humans are BORING to be around with.
3. Don't know how to communicate with real live humans.
4. Naturally born to be rude and inconsiderate with the "i don't care what u think about me and my gadgets".

Going back to the breakdown of the family institution due to these gadgets, i don't understand why parents must get smartphones and tablets for their children. Every where i go, i can see children playing games on the tablets while on family outing. Why in the f*ck do u need to bring the tablet if you are on family outing? To keep your children occupied while you, the parent will be busy buying your stuff? Sometimes children just need to tolerate with the boredom. Might as well you ask your child to bring the school textbook and read it instead of playing games. It irks me to see children playing with tablets.

When tablets were not created ages ago, children back then were just fine. They don't need games to keep themselves occupied while out on a family outing. I remember never bringing my Tetris game when i go out with my family. The Tetris game was left at home.

So yeah, if parents want to accuse their children of being too absorb with their smartphones and tablets, parents can only blame themselves for getting these unnecessary gadgets. If your child is below 17, why in the hell do they need a smart phone? You are only exposing them to danger especially with no parental supervision. I know parents are "pressured" socially to get these gadgets but they need to overcome that.

As for partners who have affairs via gadgets, don't blame the gadgets. Gadgets only make it EASIER TO HAVE AFFAIRS. ages ago, men only can have affairs with hookers since they have to manually drive all the way to the brothels. Now you can even screw with ur sis/bro in law, friends, colleagues etc. You simply got to live with the fact your partner is an asshole of a player so either you leave such partner, or you caged him like a loyal animal.

The only way to solve this issue is if you learn to respect others and be considerate to others and make the effort to start a conversation and listen. Not bury yourself with the gadgets.

The 901 Demo

On 9.1.2012, there was a street demonstration at the KL Courts Jalan Duta. Unfortunately I have to attend one court case there. The street demo consists of Anwar Ibrahim's supporters (go google if you don't know what's up with him). Purpose of the demo? Because the stupid supporters think by being there the judge will find Anwar not guilty of the sodomy offence. Or maybe they want to create some "action drama" if Anwar was found guilty. Anyway, the verdict was that Anwar was NOT GUILTY of the sodomy offence.

Im not a supporter of the Opposition nor a die hard fan of the Government. I just find politics in Malaysia to be boring, bitchy and dramatic. From the bombing of some Mongolian lady to a politician who likes "jambu men".

But I seriously HATE STREET DEMONSTRATION. I didn't even support the Bersih demo. Why do i hate street demo :

1. You never achieve anything by demonstrating in public besides showing just how many supporters you have for your cause.

2. Public nuisance.

3. No matter how you say it will be peaceful, a violent act, be it a minor one, is bound to happen.

4. You will attract people who have "bad intentions" who will disguise themselves as supporters of the cause.

And i'm always RIGHT (in the above matter anyway). So what was my experience on that annoying day of 9.1.2012 at the KL Courts?

Several days before the demo took place, i was informed by my friend that the KL Courts public car park will be CLOSED to ALLOW THE STUPID DEMO TO TAKE PLACE. Why in the f*ck did the government allow this BS to take place? The govt didn't give permit for Bersih but they gave permit for this? At this point, i was pretty pissed with the govt for allowing the demo. Why am I being emo about this?

1. Where in the f*ck am i suppose to park?

2. I have to get up EXTRA EARLY to avoid jams.

To further add on to my stress, my friend told me no taxis will be going to the kl courts.

So on that day itself, i woke up around 5 30 am and left the house at 6 30am. Reached courts around 7am and it was already packed with people and the roads to the KL Court have been blocked. I had to parked nearby to the income tax building (and the parking was damn far. It was a 10- 15 mins walk to the court. And i had to park illegally because there was no parking.

While walking to the courts, I have to walk through the annoying supporters of Anwar. A guy was giving out "Anwar Masks" and it looks freakishly creepy. It's kindda funny though to see men in "kopiah" and women in their "tudung labuh" attending this crappy demo. They are obviously supporters of PAS who support anything that is against the government. Security was tight like hell. If you claim you are a lawyer but don't really dress like one, they won't let you in.

There were many people but i don't think it reached 100k. The Opposition had made statements that 100k people will show up.

On my way walking back to my car, i saw this lady who brought her son to this demo and the child was in a wheelchair. Definitely a f*cked mother who don't care about her son's safety. Why in the hell do you bring children to demonstration?

Just shortly after that, there was a small blast and i was like deaf for a few seconds on the left ear. I was damn scared because the blast was nearby and some people were running away while some idiots just stood still and give me a hard time getting pass through them. I speed walk all the way to where I parked.

My conclusion from this ordeal :

1. You must be a sore loser to waste your time attending this demonstration.

2. Those responsible for the small blast could be from :

a. Anti govt supporters - to show pro govt supporters are not happy with the verdict.

b. Pro govt supporters - to provoke the anti govt supporters.

c. Assholes who just want to cause chaos - no need explanation for their motive.

3. No matter how you say the demo will be a peaceful one, there is bound to happen a violent event because the moment you gather people at one place, you can't be sure whether all of them are genuinely supporting your cause. Some would love to use this opportunity to cause chaos.

4. You are pretty f*cked up if you bring children to such place.

5. Old people or people with medical conditions who attend such thing are plain stupid and don't value their life. Newspapers are probably gonna report how "heroic" these people are for attending the demo despite their condition. I only see utter stupidity and ignorance on their health and people who love them.

6. Unless govt or some authority is gonna do something drastic which can affect your life or if it's a matter of life or death, street demo/public demo shouldn't be allowed. Street demo coz court is going to announce their verdict is stupid.

7. Street demo = public nuisance.

The Mind of an "Evil" Child..

I came across this picture on a facebook site. The caption tat came with this picture was that some "kids" put firecrackers in this dog's mouth, hence the facial disfigurement of this dog. I felt very sorry for this dog, the fact that he/she is still alive but living with a face that is disfigured this bad. Sometimes i wonder if this was a photoshop act... I wish it was though.

And this was caused by KIDS? Im not sure, are these kids below 12 years old or above 12 years old? When people say kids, i always think it's below 10 years old.

From a legal prespective, those below 12 years old can't commit crimes a.k.a doli incapax (if i remember correctly, can't be bothered to recheck it now).

When children commit certain crimes, i always look at the WAY THEY COMMIT THE CRIME and the way they ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. This is to determine whether they are truly innocent or devil in the body of a child. A person may look like a child but the mind is evil and mature.

There was this case where these 2 boys, 12 or 13 years old killed a toddler. They HID the boy after they killed the child. If you don't know what you did is wrong, why HIDE THE BODY?

People say the difference between an adult and a child is that an adult knows what is wrong and right while a child is unable to do so.

So now if I were to ask the child this "why don't you put the firecrackers in your mouth or your friend's mouth instead of in the dogs?". What do you think he will answer?

They know the firecrackers will create an explosion that will HURT you.

So they want to know what happens when you put it in a LIVING THING.

Some humans don't appreciate the life of ANIMALS. They think they are superior than animals a.k.a you can kill animals for fun but you can't do it to a human. Disgusting.

Like today, at the cafe while having my brunch, I saw this whorish ugly bitch who kicked a cat who was just sitting under her chair. Of course the cat wanted food but the cat wasn't even meowing for food, the cat was just sitting that, letting you make the choice whether you want to feed her/him or not.

Her 5 or 6 year old daughter copy cat the whorish mother's action. And when she kicked the cat, she was smiling. I don't blame the girl because obviously it was the ugly bitch's fault for setting out a BAD EXAMPLE . Of course the girl will think it's ok to do it since her stupid mother did it any wway.

To all you animal abusers who don't respect animals, you will all burn in hell.

Hello 2012, Good Bye 2011

So, how was 2011 for me? Let me summarize it :

1. Unmarried and obviously childless

2. Single

3. Working

4. Finally got myself a cat that stays with me in the condo.

5. Slightly fatter.

I'm not gonna complain about being unmarried, childless or single. The reason why I emphasized on this is because i'm in my mid 20's and this is when people will start getting married and have children. My motto when it comes to relationship? Better be single and happy rather than to be in a relationship but alone and sad. I only want to be in a relationship with Mr Right, not Mr Perfect.

2011 was the year when I finally worked. I have never worked before because I was simply lazy. So how do I find work? Challenging yet interesting. You meet all kinds of people and work is one of the ways to keep yourself busy. The only thing i hate about working is getting up early in the morning.

And I finally got myself a cat. Initially I thought having a cat in a condo will be difficult, hence the delay in getting a cat. Previously I have never kept a cat indoors 24/7. What made me got a cat? After looking after my friend's cat for a day. It wasn't as difficult as i thought it would be. Of coz it requires commitment, time and love. so i got myself a RM2,800.00 Himalayan. One of the reasons why i got myself a pedigree kitten is because they are already litter trained and an indoor cat. I have this impression that stray cats are outdoor cats. Most of the time they want to be outdoors. My previous cats will only come into the house for several hours to eat and sleep and would later leave and start roaming the neighbourhood and make me worry when they don't come back on the same day.

Argh i think im gaining some kgs... screw dieting. I knew that KFC across my condo is gonna be the death of me.

Why I Want To Be A Lawyer...

Remember those primary school days where the school will make you write down in your school report what are your AMBITIONS when you grow up? To be more precise, the top 3 things that you want to be. Mine were either doctor, lawyer or nurse. There was a time "stewardess" was in that list but God only knows why in the hell i wanted to be one. But doctor and lawyer remain the top 2 ambitions, every year it will change, either lawyer will be no.1 or doctor no.2 or vice versa.

Perhaps I wanted to be a doctor because my father is a doctor. But I don't remember him trying to brainwash me to become one. But I guess during the 90's, everyone wants to become either a doctor or a lawyer because these are the professional jobs that are often talked about.

So when i entered high school, i took up science subjects. I like Biology but sucked in Additional Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Dreams of becoming a doctor slowly slipping away.

But I love writing essays and I love History.

Then I entered matriculation, and took up science too but again, I can only do Biology. So screw it, goodbye doctor. I decided on law because based on my SPM results, I think i'm capable of doing law since it's all about essay writing and reading textbook (history = text book). Actually, at one point i wanted to join hotel and tourism because I thought it was "cool" and "fun" but my dad didn't allow it. Thank God for that because I don't think my personality fits for tourism. I hate dealing with humans.

I did my A Levels for law and went on with LLB (University of London). Again at this point, I didn't know why I wanted to be a lawyer or whether I wanted to be one. All I know I have to study and at least get a damn degree. Exams was a pain in the ass.

And since im not a local graduate, I had to do CLP. If you thought LLB was tough, CLP is the toughest crappiest examination that you have to get through. Well, you can do your Bar at UK which is easier to pass but that's $$$$.

After CLP, I continued with CHAMBERING a.k.a practical for law graduates to become lawyers. I was expecting the worst (heard so many nightmarish stories about chambering) a.k.a become a coffee-making slave, get shout at, work overtime, get files thrown at, boring workloads, etc. And to confirm this chambering of a nightmare, I once did an attachment under a Magistrate and she told me she only did her chambering for 3 months and couldn't take it.

As I'm blogging now, I'm into my last month of chambering. If everything goes well, I will be finishing on 20th January 2012 and probably be called to the bar in March or April 2012.

Do I want to be a lawyer? YES.

Why do i want to be a lawyer? BECAUSE I LOVE THE WORK (I'm doing LITIGATION by the way, so I think it's fun to apply whatever you studied during your LLB and CLP to your work).

I know I have more to learn and more things to experienced. I've been lucky so far and I think God have given me so many SIGNS that I should be a lawyer (I'm not being dramatic). The signs?

1. My work place and my condo is nearby. 5 mins drive. How lucky can you be to get a workplace nearby?

2. It so happens I get to do litigation and a little bit of criminal litigation. Initially I wanted to do just conveyancing because I wanted to stay in the office the whole day (i was afraid to drive several months back then and if you do litigation, you need to frequently go to court). But my firm didn't need any help in conveyancing so I got to do litigation. And God I am thankful that I did litigation.

3. My bosses and my colleagues are nice and helpful and I love the office environment. Small but comfy. My boss never made me stay up late nor overworked me.

4. Despite not earning much allowance, I learn a lot of things during my chambering and I love learning everything. I'm expert at folding letters now. But seriously, when you are given a lot of work and different kinds of work to do, it enhances your experiences. Just because you are a lawyer doesn't mean you shouldn't fold or draft letters. You should do everything! Except making coffee.

5. So far no judges have screamed or thrown files at me but I know once I'm a fully pledge lawyer, this crap is bound to happen to me.

You see, if God does not want me to be a lawyer, he would make me go through shitty experiences to TURNED ME OFF from becoming a lawyer.

One thing is for sure, I won't be one of those lawyers going after a high end glamorous lifestyle. Money is still important though but it's not for me to show off.

But if i had the opportunity I do want to be a veterinarian. Hmmm but come to think of it, I can't see ANIMALS IN PAIN. It freaks me out. But I can see humans in pain though but it won't freak me out, I will just feel sorry for them. I wanted to be a vet because I can surround myself with animals.

And so............................ i shall be a lawyer with a job and kitty to love.
